Renovated storage space welcomes expanded and more efficient outpatient clinic
An 18,000-square-foot retrofit of storage space enables Marianjoy Physical Therapy and Outpatient Services to move from the first to the second floor of Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital.
Adult (14 exam rooms), pediatrics (10 exam rooms), and psychiatric (10 consultant rooms) wings converge at a central hub including a reception and waiting area with a new elevator. Exam rooms are positioned to maximize natural light and campus views.
Initially, the space had a restricted height because its floor and ceiling held infrastructure systems. The renovation relocates all ductwork and piping to the roof. This not only gains ceiling height but also improves workflow and optimizes daylight.
The project includes reconfiguration of garden-level spaces to create more storage, as well as exterior repairs (brick tuckpointing, parapet repairs, and roofing replacement).
