Clean, modern, easy to navigate: Legat Architects’ website wins trio of creative awards from international competition recognizing brands that “push boundaries and set new standards”
Legat Architects’ new website boldly greets visitors with full-screen video footage of the firm’s stock-in-trade: buildings, along with the people who use them. The buildings are attractive, easy to move around, and designed to help users get what they need … the very characteristics that Legat sought to bring to its new website.
The website has won three Silver awards in the annual MUSE Creative Awards global competition:
- Website – Best User Experience
- Website – Branding
- Website – Business to Business
The MUSE Creative Awards, judged blindly by a panel of world-class creatives and designers, honor excellence and innovation in creative design, advertising, and digital media. The international competition celebrates “the inspirational force behind the artistic projects that push boundaries and set new standards.” Among the more than 6,500 entries this year were organizations ranging from Paramount Global and The Walt Disney Company to Mastercard and McDonald’s.
A Smooth User Journey
The website makeover, a collaboration between Legat and creative agency ArtVersion, respects Legat’s 60-year legacy and creates a contemporary brand identity.
“We wanted the website user experience to reflect the experience of using our buildings,” said Jody Boyce, Legat director of business development and marketing. “Everything had to be not only visually appealing but also understandable and easy to navigate.”
The site features photos of all employees (not just senior management), career opportunities, benefits of working at Legat, and sortable blog posts ranging from client accomplishments to tips for building owners. A simplified portfolio breaks into three categories, each identified by a shape and a color for faster navigation.
“Every aspect, from site layout and imagery to typography and color scheme, was chosen to create a smooth user journey and greater user engagement,” said ArtVersion Executive Director of Design Erin Lentz.
Award winners receive the 2023 MUSE statuettes, a stylized muse figure “designed to capture the essence of inspiration, imagination, and originality.”
